Learn How to Finally Grow Your Hair Out Fast

8 Secrets to growing longer, stronger, and fuller hair!

  1. Stop washing your hair so much! Every other day will suffice. If you really want to grow long hair, dare to shower only 3 times a week. This will help you to maintain your hairs natural oils, which will keep your hair looking shiny and healthy. If you have very oily roots, you can fix that by simply using a dry shampoo. Make sure if you do use dry shampoo that you pick a good one!
  2. Don’t use heat! This is probably one of the most difficult tips to follow, but you will see a difference once you stop using heat on your hair. You want to let your hair air dry as often as you can. I like to braid it before I go to sleep, or spray it with Sea Salt Spray so I wake up with beachy waves the next morning. Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray, 4-Ounce Bottle works the best for all hair types and it smells fantastic!
  3. Get rid of your split ends! It’s super important to trim your hair when you are growing it out. You don’t want long hair that is full of split ends, you want healthy strong, and beautiful hair. So, don’t skip that 6 month trim, unless your ends are strong and healthy.
  4. Drink water! This is a very obvious tip. Keeping your body hydrated will help to hydrate your hair. Water is good for so many things! Try to drink at least 8 glasses a day and avoid beverages that will dehydrate you.
  5. Try the pill! The Biotin pill that is. Spring Valley – Biotin 5000 mcg, Super Potency, 120 Softgels is great for not only you hair, but it also promotes healthy skin and nail growth. I know many people who this has really worked for. However, if you have acne prone skin, I wouldn’t suggest it because it can cause breakouts.
  6. Let your hair down! Avoid tight ponies and buns. You don’t want rubber bands to damage your hair and ruin all the progress that you have made.
  7. Massage your scalp! This is something that I thought was ridiculous, but my hair dresser of 5 years told me that it really is true. If you massage your scalp for just a few minutes in the shower it will increase blood flow to the scalp and stimulate hair growth.
  8. Stop dying your hair! Chemicals will ruin your hair! If you must dye it, then try using henna. It can work wonders, without killing your hair. It is also beneficial to use really good shampoos and conditioners. Try to find those without sulfates, as these can really harm your hair as well.

If all else fails and you still cannot grow long beautiful hair, then buy some extensions! Extensions look great on everyone. They come in such a wide variety of colors, that there is no way you won’t be able to find a match. I have two favorites. How to Get Perfectly Wavy Hair in No Time

If you have tried endlessly to achieve curly hair, but your hair is just too naturally straight, then you need to read this! We have all tried to make wavy hair work, but for most of us, it either turns into total frizz or pin straight. Instead of continuing to wear stick-straight ponies and tight buns, you need to try these tips to get some waves — and keep them!

Once you try it, you won’t being seeing anything but waves for awhile!

Use the diffuser: You know that weirdly shaped contraption that comes in the box with your blowdryer? Well, it really does have a purpose! (I didn’t know it’s purpose until college…so don’t feel bad). While you are about halfway through blowdrying your hair, toss your head upside down. You can then use the diffuser prongs side up to almost scrunch your hair. Then just continue to dry your whole head this way.

Mousse Mousse Mousse: Many of us have all these hair products that we NEVER use. Why? I have no idea! Maybe we just like to know that they are there when we need them. Anyway, you can finally use it! There is almost no chance of your hair curling or waving if you don’t use mousse. Before using the diffuser, or ANY heat tool, apply mousse. I like to use TRESemme 24 Hour Body Foaming Mousse, 8.1 oz. It comes in a purple and black bottle and it’s also in my favorite products post!

Sleep in braids: There is no better way to achieve waves than by NOT using heat. Braid your hair at night before you go to bed. Before braiding spray your hair with sea salt wave spray and by morning you will have perfect wavy hair in no time. This works best when hair is dirty!

Use someone else’s hair: You can easily get wavy hair from extensions. They come wavy or you can make them wavy yourself. It’s much easier to curl hair that is right in front of you then hair that is on the back of your head!

I love love love my Secret Extensions! When I first ordered, I got a color that perfectly matches my hair because I wanted to make sure that they matched and that I liked them. I finally received them and they were perfect. I ordered the Brown-Black Secret Extensions because I thought that they would match best…which they did!

They took awhile to ship to me which was kind of annoying, but that was the only real issue I had. When I got them, they were wrapped in adorable packaging and they were exactly what I was expecting.

After getting that pair, I saw this picture of a girl with ombre ones and I had to try it!! I purchased just a few shades lighter and it turned out perfectly! I didn’t want to dye it, so ombre extensions were the perfect idea. I will definitely post pictures soon when my new camera comes so that everyone can see what they look like!

They come in so many colors that I know you will be able to find your perfect shade! Mine was pretty easy though because my hair is so dark. I would definitely suggest purchasing if you have always wanted to try extensions, but thought they were to expensive. These are great quality for a great price.

The Best Products for Healthy Hair

Here is a list of all of my favorite hair products. I actually use these products daily and I love them all. They are actually all relatively inexpensive too!

1. OGX Intensive Moisture Mask, Hydrating Macadamia Oil, 8oz – This is the absolute best for deep conditioning hair. I put it in about once a week and leave in on for 15 minutes and then rinse. My hair feels so smooth & healthy afterwards! It’s especially important to use a deep conditioner during the sumer so it’s the perfect time to try it out.

2. Conair Dryer Infiniti 1875 Wt Two-Toned W/0.25oz Argan Oil – I love this blowdryer! I have had many blowdryers that give off barely any air, but this one actually feels like you are in a wind tunnel. It dries so much quicker and it always feels smooth and shiny when I’m done. Don’t forget the Heat Protectant though!

3. CHI Royal Treatment Ultimate Control Fast Drying Volume Shaping Spray Unisex, 12 Ounce – You won’t find a better smelling hairspray, I promise! This smells so good that I will actually use it as body mist sometimes. It isn’t sticky at all and it leaves your curls looking perfectly. It doesn’t make your hair frizzy or crunchy like many other hairsprays. Here is a site that has the Chi Spray discounted!!

4. It’s A 10 Leave-In Conditioner Plus Keratin, 4 Ounce – I use this everyday on my hair. It won’t leave it feeling gross or greasy, so you can use as much as you want. It is a little pricey, but it is definitely worth it, especially if you don’t like to use a lot of hair products. This should be your go to!

5. TRESemme 24 Hour Body Foaming Mousse, 8.1 oz – This is the best mousse that I have found this far. It smells really good and it definitely helps my curls hold throughout the day. I use just one pump and it’s the perfect amount. I also love that it is foamy! It makes it a lot easier to distribute throughout your entire head.

6. Victoria’s Secret So Sexy Nourish Healthy & Hydrated Conditioner – This smells so good that you won’t even need to wear perfume! My hair feels so healthy and smooth after using this conditioner. I noticed the first day I switched a difference in my hair. I like the nourish one and the volume, so I usually switch it up.

7. Chi 44 Iron Guard, 2 Fluid Ounce
– I find this to be the best heat protectant out there. It’s so light and not greasy at all. If you use any sort of heat on your hair, you HAVE to us heat protectant. Heat is so damaging to your hair! So, if you must use it, might as well protect your hair while doing so.

8. Michel Mercier No Tangle Brush – I love the Mercier Detangler Brush. I use it every morning to detangle my hair after sleeping on it all night. I don’t know why, but when I shower at night it is always more tangly than normal. This brush detangles without damaging!

  • Pick up the pace! No matter where you are, you can pick up the pace. Walk a little faster to the bathroom, skip to your car, jog to Starbuck’s. You go so many places every single day, so why not just go a little faster?
  • Carry a reusable water bottle! We can all afford to drink more water and save the environment at the same time with a reusable bottle. If you are sure to take water everywhere you go, then you’ll be more likely to drink it throughout the day. I love my Camelbak Better Insulated Bottle, 0.6 Litre, Magenta.
  • No time? No Problem! If you don’t have time to workout, then you need to do more intense workouts in the time you do have. When you feel too tired to do anything. Get up and push as hard as you can for a short amount of time. It will be totally worth it and you’ll feel great.
  • Keep a Food Log! This is a huge pain, but you gotta do it. There is no simpler way to monitor what you are eating than by writing it all done. I’m talking every morsel, write it all down! You can monitor your nutrition with the SuperTracker and see what you need to eat more and less of.
  • Take care of pain! A little pain never hurt anyone, but if your body is telling you somethings wrong there probably is! I had serious knee probeactive-braceblems and the doctor recommended that I get a brace for running. Now I use the BeActive Brace and enjoy pain-free runs.
  • Eat more fruits & veggies! We love having a juice a day to get in all the fruits and vegetables that I don’t enjoy eating on a daily basis. It’s a really health way to kickstart your metabolism and give you some much needed energy for the day. There are tons of recipes online too!

My Secret Extensions Review

I love my Secret Extensions! When I first saw them on TV, I thought that I would definitely give them a try because I have always wanted extensions and these ones are pretty inexpensive. I waited about two weeks for them to get to me and I was so happy the day they got there.

First of all, the packaging is super cute and they are wrapped up well to make sure they get to you safely. They are so soft and smooth!

Now, I have to point out that these are synthetic hair and that I would love to have real ones. However, these felt just like the real thing. You can straighten Secret Extensions and you can curl them! You can even use all sorts of hair products on them.

How to Care For Your Extensions!

I love to wear my Secret Extensions, but sometimes they get tangled and messy because I use a lot of product on them. So, I wanted to share some tips + tricks for keeping them clean and well maintained. I would suggest washing them about every 4 to 6 weeks because they do not receive natural oils like our hair, so they will not need to be cleaned often. I clean mine about every three weeks simply because I use a ton of product on my hair.

1. Brush your hair, so that you get all of the tangles out before drying and don’t do any unnecessary damage to the hair.

I use the Michel Mercier Detangler Brush on my Secret Extensions because I find that it does the best job. It definitely detangles the extensions, while not damaging them or ripping out any hairs. There are very rarely any hairs left in the brush at all. The blue one is for thick hair and I think it works the best on ALL hair type. I have tried the other no tangle brushes (thin and normal hair brushes) and they did not work as well for me. You should find which works best for you though!

2. Wet hair with lukewarm water and wash with a small amount of shampoo and conditioner.

I usually fill the sink up with warm water and let them soak for a minute or so. I then wash them in shampoo and let them soak in the sink again. Then I rinse them out and add conditioner and let them sit again. After all that, I empty out the sink and run the hair under the sink water. Then I usually lay them out on a towel.

3. Let air dry and run your fingers through the extensions to keep them from being to tangled when they dry.

I have found that it is difficult to brush these when wet. So, I would suggest never doing that because you will lose a lot of hair from your extensions! I find it best to just let them air dry. I also like to run my fingers through my Secret Extensions so that I can easily detangle them again once they dry.
